I'm Kexx, I quit my job as a probation officer in 2012 and became a Community Artist. For 12 years I have been running community arts project and gaining grant funding to cover the costs and pay myself.
A freelance community artist can charge a funder £600 per day! As well as cover the costs of your artistic development and materials.
It's life changing!
My husband has also joined me, quitting his scaffolding job of 16 years and finally following his creative passions of sculpting.
