Kexx Community artist
Hi, I am Kexx and I quite my job as a probation officer in 2012 to follow my passions for art and the community. I have had the most incredible journey over the last decade as a community artists. Designing a life where I can balance being an artist and creative with running impactful community project and with having more time and financial freedom.
I have become a wiz with Arts Council and other grant applications and now help other artists gain big pots of funding to run their own projects. I mentor people who are either individual artists or those who start community interest companies (UK not for profit). My CIC mentoring is on a different webpage and is separate to this membership with is for artists and creatives who chose the self employed or LTD route.
My partner Nick was desperate to leave his job of 16 years as a scafolder and be a creative. It's because of my easy to follow formula for being a community artists that he was able to quit this year. We now enjoy a great life doing projects we love and having time to do our own art.
